East Midlands Grand Prix

Each runner's finishing position is calculated by age category, aggregated, & carried forward to the next race in the series. Only the best 5 results are counted, & prizes are awarded both by the promoting Club on each race night, & by the sponsors after the final race, covering age categories & teams.

The East Mids Grand Prix series is now over for another season.
Well done to all club members who ran in any of the races, we especially hope that members new to races enjoyed their experience.

The club enjoyed success, and a special well done goes to Greg Spellman who finished first in the Mens 45 and above category, finishing in first place in an incredible five races!
Also well done to Kelly Barnett who finished in third place overall in the very competitive senior women category.
Sally Hewitt did well, finishing in third place in the Female 55 age group followed by Valerie Anslow in fourth place.
Sarah Ellwood and Louise Kemp finished fourth and fifth respectively in the Female 35 and above age group.
Neil Mcdonald was sixth and Phil Farley eighth in the Male 50 and above category.

In the club competition our Senior ladies team came second out of thirty six competing clubs, an extremely good result!  Veteran ladies also did well, finishing in fourth place out of twenty seven clubs.
Senior men came ninth out of forty clubs and veteran men an excellent fourth place out of thirty one competing clubs.
