The running club are now in a position to offer all the Junior Runners that have been on our waiting list a chance to come along and train with qualified coaches.
We have decided to start a training session on a THURSDAY at the Wrenn School, starting on January 22nd from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
If you could go onto our website and download a Junior Guest Form, fill it in and bring it on your 1st visit that will save time.

The juniors have some good facilities where they can come along and train on a track or in one of the halls that are provided at the school.

Our junior members meet at Wrenn School, Doddington Road, Wellingborough, NN8 2JJ (MAP) on Tuesdays from 6:30pm until 8:00.

Parents: Be sure to join the Juniors Facebook page to be kept up to date with all arrangements for transport to events amongst other things.

Tuesday 7th April - no training session.
Thursday 9th April - no training session. The W&DAC Annual General Meeting is being held in the hall at Wrenn School, Doddington Road at 7.0pm. You are welcome to attend in person or pass on any items of interest to Anthony Burgess, the Junior representative (juniors@wdac.org.uk).

A reminder that the second Corby Open Meeting is on Tuesday 14th April and the Kettering Open Meeting is on Saturday 18th April.

Saturday training at Croyland Park
This will be every Saturday starting at 9:30 am, meet in the Kingsway car park.
As these are outdoor sessions, clothing should be appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions, so prepare for cold and possibly wet conditions.

Juniors in the park

Every Tuesday we are coached by Steve Stredwick. Also, there is a Junior Representative called Deanna Needs, so if you have any questions regarding the club then you can email her directly at junior-rep@wdac.org.uk

The Junior section of the club is for anybody from 8 years old up to 16. We have fully qualified coaches running each session to ensure child safety. Every week we train on a 200m track or a 400m track normally from March through to September depending on when it gets dark at night. We do different events from sprinting to long distance and sometimes field events e.g. javelin, discus etc. We also have access to a sports hall that we can use during the winter.

You can find more details on our membership pages or send an email to juniors@wdac.org.uk for more information
